里昂（Lyon）(45|46|1|N|4|50|3|E|。包括郊区和卫星城，里昂是仅次于巴黎的法国第二大[[都市区，有1,648,216 居民（1999年统计），在西欧排名第20位到25位。市内人口445,452 (1999)。
该市得名于Lyonnais省。今天里昂附近地区的非官方称呼还称为 Lyonnais (法语: le Lyonnais)，正式区名罗讷-阿尔卑斯包含的区域则要大得多。
里昂还是国际刑警组织国际总部所在地。
历史
里昂建于前43年，是凯撒的代表Munatius Plancus建立的罗马殖民地，
地理
罗纳河和索恩河在城市的南端汇合，背倚富维耶山和红十字2座小山。富维耶山又称为祷告山 ， 山上有富维耶圣母院、几个 修女院、大主教府、富维耶铁塔和缆车。红十字山是工作山 ，是传统的丝绸作坊区。
圣让和红十字区有320个串廊（traboule）的狭窄街道，在1998年被联合国教科文组织列为世界遗产。
在两河之间的半岛上，是法国第三大广场，也是欧洲最大的广场之一－沃土广场。独特之处在于，它是欧洲最大的净地广场，没有任何绿地、树木 或障碍物。
罗纳河对岸则是新规画的市区——巴迪区(Part-Dieu)，这里有法国中部唯一的摩天大楼; 和该市大部分人口。该区域还有欧洲最大的城市公园之一的金头公园（Parc de la tête d'or）。 国际刑警组织总部位于近旁。

羅馬劇場
